Caring for Your Pets in the Winter

Winter can be a magical time of year, but for your furry friends, it can be a whole different wonderland. At PetCot, we want to help you take care of your pet through every season and every stage of life. Whether you have an indoor pet, or your dog or cat stays outdoors most of the time, here are a few ways to protect your pets in the winter.

Protect Them From the Cold

If your pets stay inside or outside, you'll want to make sure that they have the protection they need throughout the cold months. You can get them a sweater if they remain outside full time, or even booties to keep their feet warm when walking across freezing concrete or asphalt.

Feed Them the Correct Amount

If your pet lives outside, they will burn more calories keeping warm, and will need more food. Indoor pets will need less food in the winter because they will most likely spend a lot of this season sleeping indoors with the heat. You'll also want to make sure they have enough water, and if their water is outside, be aware, and make sure it doesn't freeze.

Make Sure They Get Plenty of Exercise

Indoor dogs will needs lots of exercise in the winter because they won't be outside as much. Evening walks, running outside, and fetch are great ways to keep them active and help shed any extra pounds they might be gathering through their "hibernation."

Beware of Wintertime Chemical Spills

Winter can bring many harmful chemicals that are used to treat snow, ice, and frost. Antifreeze could leak from the radiators of vehicles, and this could be deadly if ingested. Event the smallest sip can be fatal. The salt on the sidewalks can cause sores or irritations on your pet's paws, so always be sure to wash their feet when you bring them back inside. You can also rinse their bed off, to make sure that none of the salt gets tracked onto your pet's favorite bed!

Go for a Ride

If your pet loves to go for car rides, that probably won't change much in the winter. They'll probably still love to poke their heads out the windows. One thing to beware of, though, is that the engine of your car can seem very attractive to cats, especially in the winter. They often climb up in the engine cavity to stay warm, but as you can imagine, this can have dreadful results. Be sure to tap on your hood before starting your car, and if you have cats who live outside, do a head count first.

Taking Care of Your Pets in Every Season

At the PetCot Company, we like to think that we care for your furry friends as much as you do. We have created the best pet beds, that not only keep your pets comfortable but are easy for you to maintain and clean. We hope your four-legged family members have a cozy, and safe winter, and enjoy many naps on their PetCot!

4 Reasons to NOT Let Your Dog Sleep in Your Bed

Do you let your dog sleep in bed with you? We know it's sweet to be able to enjoy their unconditional love. And there are some benefits to cozying up to your dog, like keeping you warm, having a sense of security if you sleep alone, and its a natural antidepressant. While these sound like excellent reasons to let your dog sleep in bed with you, there are some downfalls to letting your pooch sleep in bed with you at night. Take a look the reasons you should get your dog his own premium raised dog bed:

1. No Sleep Tonight
Think about this: if you sleep with your dog in bed with you, when they get up to do their nightly watches over the house does their jumping off or getting back on the bed wake you? According to the Mayo Clinic Sleep Disorders Center, 53% of pet owners said their pets disturbed their sleep in some way nightly. Sleep deprivation, no matter the cause, can lead to decreased alertness, memory impairment, and other physical and mental health issues.

2. Malamute in the Middle
Another caution is that allowing your pets to sleep in bed with you can cause issues between couples. Pets should not be permitted to physically come between a couple at night. While it may not seem like an issue at first, when you and your partner do decide to have a little personal romantic time, the moment can quickly die if there's a dog scooting his way between the two of you so he's the center of attention. It's cute at first, but after so many interrupted sessions can become a real nuisance.

3. Not-So-Sweet Dreams
Like humans, canines dream, and many are pretty active while in the REM stage. Dogs can toss and turn or “talk” in their sleep. And even when they're not chasing rabbits in their dreams, merely stretching out to get cozy and shoving you with their paws is enough reason to give them their own space. All of these habits can interrupt your sleep cycle, resulting in crankiness, lowering your immune system response, and decreasing alertness during the day.

4. Watch Out for Allergies
If you tend to have allergies, make sure your pet doesn't sleep in your bed. Not only could you react to your pet's dander and fur, but Fido has been rolling around in who knows what all day. Your dog is exposed to allergens like pollen and dust all the time. They stick in his fur or on his paws, follow him to your bed, and cause your allergies to go haywire. Stuffy noses and sneezing does not make for a good night's sleep.

So, as tempting as it is to snuggle up to your precious pooch, invest instead in a premium raised dog bed for your favorite furry friend and leave the bed to the humans. PetCot raised dog beds provide optimal comfort and support for dogs (and other pets) of all sizes. These premium raised pet beds keep your dog comfy and cozy and give them a place to call their own. They'll love sleeping on their own raised bed, and since they're so light weight, you can easily place it next to your bed at night so your dog feels like he's sleeping next to you without disturbing your sleep!

Tips for Keeping Your Pets Safe This Halloween

Halloween is such a fun time of year, and of course we always want to include our pets in the family's festivities. Wanting to involve them is fine, but there are some pet safety tips you should heed this Halloween to ensure that your pet is safe, secure, and happy. Take a look at some of the tips the PetCot Company is sharing this week:

Use Caution When Dressing Your Pets in Costume
Pets in costume, it's super adorable, right?! Well, yes... but if your pet isn't used to or keen on playing dress up, this could cause your pet to feel nervous or stressed. If you do decide that Fido or Kitty needs a costume, costumes should not restrict movement, hearing, eyesight, or the ability to breathe. You should supervise your pets while in costume so that if something goes wrong, it can be addressed right away.

Keep Candies and Other Treats Away from Pets
Several Halloween treats are toxic to pets, so it's best to err on the side of caution and avoid allowing your pets any treats from the candy bowl. All forms of chocolate—especially baking or dark chocolate—can be dangerous, even lethal, for dogs and cats. Halloween candies containing the artificial sweetener xylitol can also be poisonous to dogs.

Avoid Leaving Pets Outdoors on Halloween
Vicious pranksters have been known to tease, injure, steal, and even kill pets on Halloween night. Black cats are especially at risk for pranks or other cruelty-related incidents. Besides the dangers of pranksters doing harm to your pet, the constant noise and people walking by your yard can cause your pet to feel stressed and overwhelmed.

Prevent Your Pets from Escaping into the Night
On halloween, if you live in city limits, you're likely to have several trick-or-treaters knocking on your door. Strangers on your doorstep dressed in unusual costumes can be scary for our furry friends, which can result in escape attempts or unexpected aggression. Putting your dog or cat in a secure crate or room away from the front door will reduce stress and prevent them from becoming aggressive towards visitors or darting outside into the night.

Make Sure Your Pet has Identification
If your dog or cat does escape and become lost, having the proper identification will increase the chances that he or she will be returned. Make sure that your pet's collar tags are up-to-date and secured to their collar. This will help anyone who comes across your beloved pet quickly be able to contact you. Another very important and permanent form of identity is to have your pet microchipped. Collars can get lost or removed, so the only sure way to effectively ensure your pet's safe return home is to microchip and make sure you routinely update your information.

By following these simple tips this Halloween, you'll keep your pets safe, healthy, and happy! And don't forget to get your fur babies a treat they CAN have and will LOVE! Make sure you've got a comfy place for them to rest their heads after such an eventful evening. Get a premium dog bed from PetCot. Our PetCot beds are one of the most comfortable and durable on the market. Visit our website to order yours today!

3 Reasons Your Pets Need a PetCot

When pet parents ask what items they need to purchase for their dog, a good dog bed is always at the top of the list - along with a collar, leash, food, and feeding dishes. Dog beds are extremely important. In fact, we consider beds essential for all dogs regardless of size, breed, or age. Pet beds provide more than a place to rest their heads, they provide security. While many people think that their dogs can curl up on the floor, in many cases that isn't the most ideal option for your furry friend. Here are a few reasons that a PetCot bed will benefit your pup's life.

1. SUPER EASY TO CLEAN
Just like humans, dogs can be rather messy. The dander, dog hair, sweat and drool can often cause their beds to be disgusting. A PetCot bed is easy to clean, so that you don't have to worry about what is living inside that plush bedding. The suspended bed also allows for plenty of air movement, so your pet is always getting plenty of air, and the bed can fully dry out when they are not using it. We have many accessories you can pair with your PetCot bed to make it even cleaner for your pet.

A dog bed can also help keep your home clean! By giving your pet a place to sleep and rest, not only will it keep them off of your couch and bed, but it can limit the amount of hair that gets on your furniture as well. It's much easier to take the cover off of a PetCot bed than it is to wash, vacuum, or roller your entire living room set. Purchase one of our easy to clean pet beds today and see how much faster it is to keep your area clean!

2. PROMOTES GOOD HEALTH
As your dog gets older you may find that they begin to suffer with health problems. Anything from joint issues to hip pains can all be even more painful without the proper tools. A PetCot bed gives them a place to lay down and take the pressure off of their aching joints. While our beds are perfectly designed so that even your older dog won't have trouble getting off of it, we also sell accessories to make it even more comfortable for them. We offer an orthopedic dog bed insert that is made specifically for your PetCot, and your older dog in mind. The extra foam will ease aches and pains, making recovery easier.

3. A PLACE OF THEIR OWN
Sometimes your pet just wants a place that they can call their own, especially if you have more than one. A pet provides them that place where they can nap peacefully, re energize from a long day, or even go when they're scared. Our premium raised dog beds come in many sizes, so your dog will have the space they need to spread out and get comfortable.

Another thing to note, is that giving your dog a place to sleep can help keep him from sleeping in the areas that you don't want him to. If your bed, and the couch are off limits, he needs a place that he can call his own without laying claim to your spots. To make sure that he'll use it though, you have to make sure and get the right size.

MADE WITH CONVENIENCE IN MIND
Our beds were made to fill a need in the pet bed industry. They are fully assembled when you receive them and ready to use immediately. Our pet beds are also stackable, so if you have several of them and need to store them for a short period, or travel with them, they will be more convenient. Decorating Tips for a Pet Friendly Home

Any pet owner knows that having an indoor pet means that there is bound to be some amount of sacrifice to your home's cleanliness and decor. While, yes, we would agree with that statement, we also know it doesn't have to be as big of a sacrifice as you think. This week, we're sharing with you a few things that you can do to decorate your home to be more pet friendly.

Use Slip-Proof Rugs

The best rugs feature patterns with a multitude of colors that draw the eye away from dirt, stains, and pet hair. Some rugs do a great job of resisting stains, while others can easily be taken outside and hosed clean. Check the rug label for details. Whichever option you choose, include a non-skid pad or double-sided tape beneath the rug so Fido and Fluffy can run safely through the house. And you'll protect your flooring from getting ruined, too.

Choose Pet Friendly Furnishings

The goal is to choose upholstery fabrics that create less work for you. Avoid chairs and sofas covered in velvet, chenille, or other delicate fabrics that can be easily ruined by pets. Tweed can also be a nightmare to clean because pet hair gets caught in its uneven surface. Instead, opt for stain-resistant fabrics that are durable. Crypton is a nearly indestructible, synthetic fabric that's resistant to stains, smells, bacteria and muddy paws. Leather is an easy fabric to clean and is pretty durable. Just keep a leather repair kit on hand to fix scratches. Denim, canvas, and microfiber or microsuede fabrics are other great, easy to clean choices.

Protect Your Walls

Let's face it, whether they mean to or not, dogs make messes. And big slobbery dogs make even bigger messes. Paint your walls in a semi-gloss-finish paint, especially in rooms that see lots of activity and moisture such as the bathroom and kitchen. This will make wiping down walls after your dog shakes after bath time or drinking much simpler.

If you're sharing your bed with your dog, the dander, dog hair, sweat and drool can often cause your bed to quickly become a breeding ground for bacteria. Rather than spending a bunch of time washing and rewashing your sheets and bed covers every other day, get your dog a PetCot! A raised dog bed can help keep your home cleaner, and it'll keep them off of your couch and bed. It's much easier wipe down a PetCot than it is to wash, vacuum, or roller your entire living room or bed set.

By using these tips for making your home more pet friendly, you'll appreciate the time you'll save with cleaning up after your fur baby. And since these are such minor, inexpensive decor changes, you'll also appreciate that your home hasn't completely been taken over by your pooch and that it can still feel like home! Don't forget to invest in a PetCot bed to give your pooch his own place to call his own in your home. Visit our website to check out the premium pet beds we offer in different colors and sizes to match all home decor!

Easy Budgeting Tips For Your Pet Care Costs

You love your fur baby like a child, and you want to give them the best of everything, but that doesn't mean you want to spend every last dime of your hard earned money covering pet expenses. Pets aren't quite as costly as children, but they do have to be properly cared for, and that can be expensive if you're not careful. So if expense is a concern, you have two options: Get a pet rock, or carefully budget your pet's care. Here are some easy tips for saving a few bucks on pet care costs.

Adopt From Your Local Shelter
Buying a purebred pooch from a pet store or breeder can be very costly, ranging anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars. But adopting from an animal shelter or pet rescue, your adoption fee may only be just $75 to $150. Not only will you be helping a pet in need, but most shelters spay or neuter and de-worm and vaccinate the animals prior to adoption, which saves you money on those costs.

Make a Trade for Pet Services
Do you have a friend that would willingly watch your beloved pooch while you've got to be out of town in exchange for a batch of your famous ooey gooey butter cookies? Take advantage of that easy trade for saving money on pet services! You can exchange just about anything for pet services (accounting, house cleaning, dental care), so play to your strengths. What you get in return can range from walking your dog a few times a week, to cleaning your pet's teeth (if your friend's a veterinarian).

Shop Around and Compare Pricing
If you're the least bit frugal, you probably already compare prices before going shopping for yourself. Why not do the same when buying for your pet? When purchasing pet food or litter, buying in bulk can save you big money, especially if you have more than one animal at home. Clip coupons from your local newspaper and look for store specials to maximize your savings. Look into an online or mail order store like for your pet's medications, they are typically are much cheaper since they don't have a retail markup.

Don't Pay To Have It Done, Do It Yourself
Vets and groomers can be expensive. Although you have to take your pet in for check-ups and procedures once in a while, you can learn how to handle some of the everyday care yourself. Daily brushing not only leaves your pet with a shiny, lustrous coat, but it also helps clear away dirt and matted fur. Bathe your dog yourself. It may take some getting used to, but it can save you quite a bit in the long run depending on how often your dog needs bathed. You can also ask your vet or groomer to show you how to clip your dog's nails so you can do that at home too.

Practice Preventative Care
Most pets need to get a check-up about once every six months. If you take good care of your cat or dog, those twice-yearly visits will be enough, and you won't have to spend any extra time and money at the vet's office. Waiting until your pet is already sick can turn a $100 veterinarian visit into a $3,000 trip. Follow your vet's recommendations for check-ups so you can nip any potential health problems in the bud.

Invest in a Durable Pet Bed
Sure, you could go to your local supermarket and pick up one of those super expensive pillow dog beds that only last a few months before you have to toss it and buy a new one... OR you could invest in a pet bed that is lightweight, but also tough enough that kennels and veterinary offices nationwide count on it. That is what you will get with a PetCot bed. They are light enough that you can easily pick them up and move them, but strong enough to handle the weight of even your heaviest dog. Our exclusive cover is heat-sealed seamed, not sewn, and with corner, to corner fabric, you won’t feel weakness in the design. Our premium raised pet beds are known for being durable, which in itself will save you money. But if you have a destructive Duke, you don't have to worry about replacing the entire bed. We offer replacement parts at very affordable prices!

There are many ways to cut down on pet care expenses, but these few ways will get you started down the right path to savings! A happy pet makes a happy owner, and a comfortable pet is a happy pet. Are you ready to see why purchasing a PetCot bed will be the last premium pet bed you have to purchase? You can visit our website to view all of the different sizes and colors we have available, and before you know it, it will be shipped to your door!

5 Ways to Celebrate National Mutt Day

This coming Monday, July 31st is National Mutt Day, also known as National Mixed Breed Dog Day! This widely celebrated holiday was created in 2005 by Celebrity Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert and Animal Welfare Advocate, Colleen Paige. National Mutt Day is all about embracing, saving and celebrating mixed breed dogs. So, in honor of this wonderful pet holiday, the PetCot Company is offering 5 ways in which you can celebrate the mutts in your life!

1. Visit your local animal shelter and adopt a new friend
Dog lovers know every canine is one-of-a-kind, but mixed-breed dogs are truly unique thanks to their grab-bag of genes. Mutts come in every shape, size, scruff, and shade you can think of! Personality-wise, too, mixed-breed dogs can have any disposition under the sun, depending what family traits win out. Help save a life and see how a mutt can enhance your own!

2. Volunteer to walk a shelter dog
Did you know that some shelter dogs rarely leave their kennels? Shelter staffs just do not have the time to dedicate to walking each dog every day, and could really use the extra help that volunteering gives. Volunteering to walk shelter dogs also gives you an opportunity to help raise awareness, recruit people with time and compassion, and encourage animal lovers to visit their local shelter to learn about volunteer opportunities.

3. Donate food and other supplies needed to your local animal shelter
Many shelters rely solely on the good hearts and goodwill of those who donate. While there are some government assisted programs that provide some funding to animal shelters, the wait lists are long and it's not always guaranteed that they'll get the funding they need to properly maintain and care for the animals that arrive in their shelters daily. Often times, shelters will post supply need lists on their websites or social media pages, so subscribe to your local shelter's facebook or website page and keep an eye out for their next need list.

4. Make a donation in the memory of a loved dog who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge
There comes a time in every pet owner's life that they must say goodbye to their furry friend. It's never easy, and another pet just cannot replace that void. But what may help ease some of the heartache and give you peaceful closure is to make a donation to your local shelter in memory of your beloved dog who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. In doing so, you're honoring the life of your pet and passing along the unconditional love they received from you to those that are not as fortunate to have a loving furever home and family.

5. Spread the word to raise awareness
You can purchase clothing, canvas totes and collectible mugs to show your support for mutts. While you're spending time with your mutt or volunteering your time at your local shelter snap a few pictures and post them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #NationalMuttDay. Or you can even do some research to locate dog walk events taking place near you and register, then invite your friends to join you!

The biggest percentage of dogs abandoned and euthanized is due to the constant over-breeding and public desire of designer dogs and purebred puppies that are sold to pet stores supplied by puppy mills that often produce ill and horribly neglected animals. This special day was created to raise awareness of the plight of mixed breed dogs in shelters around the nation, as approximately 80% of dogs in shelters are mixed breeds. The mission behind National Mutt Day is to educate the public about the overwhelming number of mixed breed dogs that desperately await new homes and to celebrate the amazing characteristics that the mix of breeds creates in each individual dog.

Celebrate National Mutt Day by spending time with the mutts in your life or by volunteering at your local shelter. Your efforts to educate and bring awareness to this cause will be appreciated and won't go unnoticed. If you'd like to donate supplies to your local shelter, we've got great products that shelters would love to have - such as a raised dog bed or waterproof crate pads. Visit our website today to get your donation items ordered!

Keep Your Pet Safe this Independence Day

Fourth of July is just around the corner, and we're all looking forward to the opportunity to celebrate and enjoy some amazing fireworks displays! It's a time of the year when the whole family gets together to grill out, spend some much needed time bonding, and shooting off or watching a professional fireworks show. While we do consider our pets to be family members, this is probably not a celebration that you want to try to involve your dog in. After all, more dogs are reported to be lost on Fourth of July than any other day of the year. Put simply, dogs just do not appreciate fireworks like we do. So this week, the PetCot Company wants to offer some tips to keep your beloved dog safe and happy this Independence Day.

PREPARE IN ADVANCE
Before the big celebration comes, make sure you're prepared. Update your dog's identity tags and make sure they're secured properly to his collar so as not to easily fall off. If your dog is chipped, make sure the contact information is updated so if your dog does get loose and is found, a vet clinic or shelter is able to reach you. If you do not have a safe, quiet place for your dog to be during the festivities, make arrangements for him to be boarded for the night.

HOSTING FESTIVITIES AT HOME
If you're planning to keep him home and holding festivities there, set up your dog's crate in a quiet location in your home that is set away from traffic and noise. When scared of sounds they can’t orient, they'll feel safer hiding out in their crate or on their comfy premium raised dog bed. If possible, keep the windows and curtains closed. Covering the crate or lowering the blinds can also be helpful. Removing visual stimulation can also help calm dogs. It's best to keep your dog in a room where the door can be closed and nobody will enter. If your dog gets out and sees an opportunity to jet, he may take off down the road.

ATTENDING FIREWORKS SHOWS
If you're planning to attend a fireworks show away from home, leave your dog at home. While it may feel like you're leaving him out of the fun, you're actually doing him a favor by not bringing him somewhere he'll become scared easily and won't have a safe place to go. Not to mention, it'll likely be pretty warm outdoors and your furry buddy would much rather enjoy the evening in the comfort of his own home in A/C. Be sure to leave your dog with plenty of toys to keep him busy. If he does become anxious from the fireworks going off around the neighborhood he'll have something to focus his energy on other than your furnishings.

Dogs are instinctively flight animals. They'll want to run and hide from the loud noises of ongoing fireworks. As much as you would like to include your dog in the holiday festivities, sometimes it's just best to leave your dog at home where he will be safe. By using these tips for this Fourth of July, you'll prevent your dog from becoming another statistic for dogs that are lost during this holiday. While your dog is hanging out in his safe place, he'll need a comfortable place to rest his head. Don't forget to order your pooch a premium raised dog bed or a waterproof crate pad from PetCot!

8 Ways to Keep Your Dog Cool This Summer

Summertime sparks the desire to get the family outdoors more often. And of course, you don't want to leave Sparky behind - after all, your pets are family too, right? While we always want to include our fur babies in family fun, it's important to remember that all that fur may not mix well with the warmer temperatures of summer. So, this week the PetCot Company has decided to share with you 8 tips to keep your furry buddy cool while enjoying summer fun with the family:

1. Don’t leave your pet in an unattended vehicle.

On a 75-degree day, the temperature inside a parked car can climb up to 115 degrees within an hour. Even with the windows down, a dog can easily overheat if left in these conditions. If you need to run errands and don't feel comfortable leaving your dog home alone take it to a doggy day care. It’ll save you the trouble of worrying about your dog while you’re out.

2. Avoid walking on hot surfaces like asphalt.

Your pup’s paws can be as sensitive as the soles of your feet. If the asphalt is too hot for you to walk on, chances are it’s too hot for your pup too. On a walk, try to alternate between asphalt, sidewalk, and grass so that your dog’s delicate paws don’t get overheated. If your dog is particularly sensitive, cover his paws with pet booties so he can stroll comfortably.

3. Supply lots of fresh, clean water.

Some dogs get a bit finicky with their water if there’s an odd scent in the bowl or if it’s been warming up in the sun for a while. Keeping a fresh, clean supply of H2O in your dog’s dish will ensure that your pup drinks more often and stays hydrated.

4. Don’t overexercise pets.

Dogs don’t always know their own limits. If you can tell your dog is breathing more rapidly or having some trouble chasing after a ball, slow things down and allow him to cool off. Outdoor activities are great but, instead of playing in the blazing afternoon sun, try tossing a ball around as the sun is setting.

5. Leave your dog at home on hot days.

Going to the beach and sitting out all day in the sun is something we humans enjoy, but it can leave pooches severely dehydrated. Even if you feel like the heat is bearable, remember, when dogs are exposed to moderately high temperatures over an extended period of time, their bodies might be unable to cool down.

6. Watch for signs of dehydration.

Dogs can't sweat. They cool off by panting, so an overheated dog will drool excessively. It will become lethargic, its eyes will be bloodshot, and it may appear a little pale. If you lift its skin, it will take longer than usual for the skin to fall back into place.

7. Take your dog swimming.

The best activity you can do in summertime or hot weather is swimming. Instead of walking the dog, take the dog on a swim! If you hold on and allow your dog to take you around the pool, it becomes a powerful bonding experience for the two of you, similar to the walk.

8. Get your dog a raised bed.

PetCot raised dog beds provide optimal comfort and support for dogs (and other pets) of all sizes. Our unique elevated dog bed allows your pet to rest easy while maintaining a comfortable body temperature all around. Durable and breathable, it provides dogs with a healthy, cool environment.

Now that you have some tips to go by to keep your best friend cool this summer, get out there and have some fun! Just remember to keep an eye on your pooch and keep them cool and hydrated. Don't forget to swing by our website to order your pup a premium raised dog bed to rest comfortably on after a fun day enjoying the summer activities you are bound to have a blast doing!

5 Simple Ways to Show Appreciation To Your Pet

Happy Pet Appreciation Week! We at the PetCot Company are so very excited to be celebrating this holiday because we know just how much our pets love and adore us. We think that every week should be deemed Pet Appreciation Week - but since we don't make the rules, we'll settle with making this week really count! We've got some ideas for you to show YOUR fur buddy some appreciation - check it out!

1. Enthusiastic Greetings

Your pet greets you enthusiastically when you come home from a long day at work. Show your appreciation by returning the favor. Put down whatever you have in your hands at the moment and just give some of your time acknowledging them and showing them that you appreciate them being there for you. They're not able to give much, other than their love and dedication to you. A happily returned greeting is bound to bring on plenty of tail wags and sloppy kisses of gratitude!

2. Lots of Play-Time

Not only is play-time a great way to show your appreciation, but it's also an easy way to give your pup the much needed exercise he needs to burn off some energy. Take your dog for plenty of walks. Play a game of tug-o-war or fetch. Your pup will love this super fun bonding time!

3. Plenty of Cuddle Time

Your pet loves you more than anything in the world - even more than his all-time favorite treats! Be sure to spend some extra time cuddling your fur baby, because that's really all they want. Your undivided attention is the greatest gift to them. Lots of pets and snuggles, and your pooch should feel appreciated in no time! And it's a great opportunity to check your pooch over for ticks, bumps, mats, etc.

4. Ensure Healthy Living

Be proactive with your dog's health. Exercise them regularly to keep them strong and healthy. Schedule regular visits to the vet to do wellness checkups. Take them to the groomers to get a good bath, nail trim, and flea and tick dip. And be conscious about what you're feeding them - a healthy, well-balanced diet is just as important for your pet as it is for you.

5. Spoil with Gifts

Who doesn't enjoy getting a surprise gift just because? Your pet is certainly no exception to the rule! Show your pet appreciation by getting them new treats, a bone to chew on, a couple new toys or balls to fetch, or upgrade their dirty stinky bed to a premium raised dog bed from PetCot. They'll LOVE it!

They may not cook or clean or do the grocery shopping, but they show you unconditional love every single day - that's worth more than the price of gold! So make sure that you always show your fur baby the love and appreciation they deserve. Don't forget, a great way to show your appreciation is by upgrading their current bed with a premium raised dog bed from PetCot! Visit our website today to order your fur baby a bed or two!
